The Media Database helps you find relevant journalists in three ways: by searching manually, using keywords, or with the help of AI.

When building a media list
You can switch between three types of search:
- Search with AI — ask AI for help
- Search by keywords — refine by topic, search term, phrase, or keyword
- Search by name — look up specific names or outlets
AI and keyword search are what power the AI PR Toolkit’s recommendations. The system suggests contacts whose work matches the topics you entered.

When preparing for a send-out
During campaign setup, after selecting your media list, AI PR Toolkit may suggest additional journalists in the Recommended journalists step. These are based on the content of your pitch.
The system analyzes keywords from the email and/or press release and recommends journalists who have written about similar topics in the past.
These suggestions help you expand your lists so you can reach all the most relevant contacts for your story.
