DEPT® has been certified by The Climate Change Project (formerly Climate Neutral) since 2021, signaling our commitment to measure, reduce, manage, and offset our carbon footprint.

Our Impact

01 – Climate

We know that decarbonization is a major undertaking, and as a global business, we have a responsibility to act with urgency and focus. DEPT® is Climate Neutral Certified, meaning we measure, offset, and set science-based targets to reduce our carbon footprint.

Through The Climate Change Project certification, we are committed to reducing our Scope 1 & 2 footprint by 42% by 2030. As part of this commitment, we aim to have 100% of offices powered by renewable energy (prioritizing low-impact renewable energy) by the end of 2030.

We also strive to reduce our Scope 3 emissions, by reducing emissions associated with business travel by 61.1% per FTE by 2033. As well as working with our suppliers to have 77% of suppliers by emissions covering Purchased Goods & Services & Capital Goods categories will have science-based targets by 2029.

02 – Impactful work

We believe that the best way to impact the world is through the work we do with our clients. At DEPT®, we’re committed to helping our clients do incredible things, not just for their brands but for their communities, society, and the planet—because we recognize the tremendous opportunity we have to create a positive impact in the world through our work.

That’s why we’re making it our goal to increase the amount of Impactful Work we do each year by 1% from a 2024 baseline.

03 – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We are lucky to have over 100 nationalities represented at DEPT®, and we are working to build a workforce and company that is inclusive and representative of the communities we serve.

We seek to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization, by focusing on:

  • Gathering, analyzing, and sharing robust data on the makeup of our workforce
  • Ensuring our global procedures and policies are equitable for all Depsters
  • Equipping our teams and leaders with the skills they need to lead with DEI top of mind
  • Fostering a culture of inclusion through communication, flagship cultural touchpoints, in our offices, and through our Employee Resource Groups

04 – Community

We’ve pledged to use 1% of our profits to support purpose-driven organizations via pro bono work and direct donations. We’re proud that in 2024, 1.2% of profit was donated to organizations in need, while in 2022, 0.96% of profit was donated to worthwhile causes.
We are also dedicated to holding our annual volunteer event, DEPT® Cares each year. DEPT® Cares was an initiative that started as a single day of volunteering and has now grown into a month-long window for local teams to organize volunteering opportunities all over the world.
