Christine Apple started making edibles as a hobby in her home in Oregon, and in 2015, the former architect founded Grön. She started selling her treats--including sugar-coated gummies and candy-coated chocolates--without any outside investment. Since then, Grön has expanded its reach to Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Canada. The majority female-owned and operated company was the top-selling edibles brand in retail in Arizona, Missouri, New Jersey and Oregon.
